Surfrider Foundation, Ocean Friendly Garden, Bird Rock, La Jolla, San Diego

In June of 2010, the San Diego Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation installed it's first "Ocean Friendly Garden" at 5560 Chelsea Ave in the Bird Rock Neighborhood of La Jolla. Artemisia Landscape Architecture collaborated with Agria Designs to help the homeowner design & build (along with over 20 Surfrider volunteers) the front yard that he had always dreamed of. Surfrider Foundation's Ocean Friendly Gardens Workshops

The Surfrider Foundation's San Diego Chapter will be putting on several workshops this spring on how to make your yard an Ocean Friendly Garden. The 3 part program is only $25 and includes a copy of Surfrider's Ocean Friendly Garden book. Jeremy Sison from Artemisia Landscape Design, Morgan Vondrak from Agria Designs and Scott Hamilton from the Hamilton Design Group will amongst the professional Landscape Designers helping with the course.
